Tyres for Volvo V70

I have a new V70 Geartronic with D3 engine and 17inch wheels which are fitted with Conti Sport 3 Extra Load tyres.

Car has now done 2000 miles and since the arrival of warmer weather my wife and I have noticed the urban ride is harsh and gritty. No doubt and increase in tyre pressures caused by heat is a factor although tyres are at correct pressures after car has stood over night.

I examined tyres today and they all have load/speed rating of 98W.
The handbook says that for a D3 Geartronic correct rating is 94H and the only variant specified with 98W tyres is the high performance T6 AWD.

Will my tyres have an adverse effect on ride comfort and if so am I entitled to get this " misbuild" rectified or will Volvo dealer say "nothing doing, you got something better, not worse" ??

Yes, as you correctly surmised, the rise in ambient temperature will have increased the air pressure in the tyres once daytime temperatures rise. In the morning it will still be 5 - 8 degrees, as I discovered yesterday when I took my car in for a service unwisely wearing just a T shirt, shirt and jeans. I wouldn't call higher performance tyres a "misbuild", I'd call it "betterment". I'd adjust the pressures at midday.
