How do I register my damaged car as Cat N write-off?

I've had our car stolen and recovered. It's been written off due to some minor bumps but we have decided to keep the car. I am still the legal owner, how do I register it as a Cat N write-off?

We might possibly be reading this wrong, but your car should already be registered as Cat N. It is up to the insurance company to assign a car a particular write-off category and this can only be done by them.
