Why has a car been given an early MoT?

I'm looking at buying a used Skoda Superb Estate. It was first registered on 1 December 2020, then for some reason it was given an MoT at the end of Feb 2021 at a mileage of 431 miles. Could you suggest why anyone would do this? And will it need MoTs every year from now on rather than starting at 2023?

It was sold on in November 2021 to the dealer. A check shows it to only have had one owner and total mileage to date is 8,500.

Should I be concerned?

There can be a number of reasons why a car is MoT'd within the first three years. If the previous owner was a taxi driver then they may have been required to have the car MoT'd in order to be licenced. Alternatively, the previous owner may have simply wanted peace of mind.

The car will not need an MoT by law until the third anniversary of its registration.
