Test match

I never cease to be amazed at some of the e-mails you get from the motoring public. The one about ‘Think Bike’ says it all. A large number of those drivers really need to take the driving test again, as suggested by Sir Stirling Moss. No wonder us motorcyclists have a high casualty rate.

There are 30,000,000 drivers. Where are we going to find enough examiners who are competent to re-test them? I think that's why it has not happened. Though obviously the numbers required would have a positive impact on the unemployment statistics, and since they would be self-financing (by yet another tax on motorists) this might have some appeal to our present prime minister.
