Sportomatic

After much soul searching and having ogled one for years I am struggling to find a Mazda MX-5 with automatic transmission. I believe you can get an imported one that has higher spec and have looked on Dandy cars website but they are based in Essex and I am willing to travel but not that far - am based in Sheffield. I believe the new model 2.0 litre is making an automatic but I would rather have a 1.8 from the viewpoint of fuel consumption etc can you help?

You could get an officially imported Mk II 1.8 for a couple of years, TW White and Sons is the main importer of Jap market MX-5 autos, and you can now get the latest 2.0 litre with a 6 speed auto and paddleshifts.
