Assault on battery

I have an Accord Estate with 11,000 miles on the clock. I don't use it every day and sometimes leave it for a week. Up until three weeks ago I had no problem starting, but now if I leave it for more than 5 days the battery is absolutely flat. I have had the battery checked three times and even the AA say it is ok. I and the AA have checked that I have not left any lights on etc. I have taken it to the main dealer (Honda) where I bought it and they say they cannot find out why. I have told them to keep it till they have sorted it. Any ideas, please?

Very common problem on Hondas and Toyotas that do a lot of short runs from cold. It probably needs a new battery because through it may hold 12 volts it won't hold the 13.5 volts it needs to start the car. Of course, make sure you switch everything off independently of the
ignition before the ignition: Heater fan, radio, lights, and interior light - completely off. Often the delay function of the interior light can fail and leave you with a flat battery.
