  Also the temp gauge, reversing lights, coolant level lamp. The ECU lamp is on very faintly & so is the coolant temp warning lamp. I've replaced the fuse that feeds these (No.12 (10A)) but as soon as ignition is switched on the fuse blows, sometimes it's ok until the engine actually first fires up

  Hi all, I've just bought a Golf Tdi 52 plate and it has an annoying rattle that's coming from behind the dash clocks on the drivers side. Is there an ECU under there or could it be the air vent pipe ? I'm asking this before i let my dealer start taking it apart and possibly creating more noise

I presume that the ECU controls all of this, but am not sure.I am tempted to just hotwire 12v onto that blue/red wire..but am fearful that the pressure regulation might involve fedback via the ECU so could have a bad outcome.
