Peugeot 306 - Stick or Twist 20 Apr 2010 (Forum)
to work. My worry is that it will get more and more expensive to run the 306. But if I buy a newer diesel would such things as dual mass flywheel failure make keeping the 306 a better option? I could buy another 306 with less mileage. I get paid mileage for the longer journeys, so running costs -

Turbo idling: when and how? 9 Feb 2010 (Forum)
journeys begin and end in areas where only low speeds are possible. My regular run features 75 miles of M40 but has a good ten minutes at either end where speeds are much lower. When I get to work or home, I reverse the car into its space. It's hard to see how a minute's idling is going to cool the turbo -

Ford Mondeo II (1996 - 2000) - 98 1.8 PAS Pump Noise. 11 Aug 2009 (Forum)
the noise. I assume the increase in pitch under revs is due to the aux belt driving the pump faster. I checked the fluid in case it's a simple case of the pump run dry of fluid - there's not a lot of fluid but there's some so I can't see how the pump can be running dry.
