Trying to fit new rear pads to P reg xantia 1.8 estate. The disk runs much closer to the inside edge of the caliper, almost touching it, while there is a decent gap on the outside. Caliper piston is fully retracted but there is not enough space to fit new inboard pad. The problem is the same -

My Land Rover Defender 90 Td5 has plenty of power through the gears but seems to run out of gears. Did Land Rover make two types of gear box with different ratios or would an overdrive be the solution? If so do you have any experience of types to consider or avoid? (PS I am in high ratio) -

Investigating poor running (pre ignition, top end clatter) on a rebuilt MGB engine that - on removing the timing chain cover- to check the valve timing- that the oil thrower is missing. Can anyone advise exactly what this circular disc does and what happens if you leave it out? -

Me again, I have a problem with my 2.0 LS vectra 1997. The car seems to run fine except occasionally at around 3200 rpm it hesitates whilst accelerating. Could actually be misfiring, does it for about 2 seconds then seems to punch through and roars away. Anyone ever had this before? -

Hey Just had a full Mongoose decat system fitted to my 306 - it's making a loud whistle when the boost is running, is this just the sound of the turbo cuz of the silencers being removed or is there a problem??? Also can I fit a dump valve to this??? would sound good with the whistling exhaust -

Recently went on a trip to the motorshow in a mates Impreza WRX on a rainy day. He had coated his 'screen with something that enabled the water to almost run off without needing to wipe the 'screen. Great invention but does anyone know more about it - how long it lasts, how much it costs etc -

The rubber belt which runs on the drivers side (exterior) of the engine block causes engine vibration, especially at idle and high speed, as it turns since there is a wobble on the roller/pulley at the top of the engine.
