Austin (Rover) Metro (1980 - 1990) - 90 1.3 removing petrol tank 26 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Has anyone any experience on removing the petrol tank from one of these cars? Looking underneath there appears to be one retaining bolt on the leading edge of the tank and any others hidden up under the rear suspension framework. It could potentially be an 'easy' job but I'm wondering -

I'm getting a cold start up squeak that goes away when the engine is warm. Dealer says it's auxiliary belt. Will this be fixed by just replacing the belt? If so is it a big job? mAny idea of cost. Is this just annoying or will it lead to other problems? -

Odometer versus speedo 25 Apr 2005 (Forum)
In another topic it was mentioned that a speedo could have up to 10% error (ie 70 mph is actually 63 mph), but not the other way round. This leads me to think about how accurate are the odometers.
