  Hi, I've just bought a 1998 16v GTi VW (mkIII) golf. The fuel guage doesn't work and it's going to be an expensive job to fix. I'd rather just set the tripometer each time I fill up. However - I need to know how far I can get on a full tank of petrol......does anyone know? Thanks
