  My car handbook (Verso 1.6D-4D) recommends using diesel with a cetane rating of "48 or higher". Whereas petrol fuels detail their octane rating, I am struggling to find any cetane details for diesel - even fuel manufacturers' websites seem coy on this question. Am I missing something obvious?

  What is the safest way to drain petrol from a car? Machine mart sell fuel transfer pumps but these are for diesel type fuels only. I'm not particularly keen on the sucking on a rubber hose technique ! There must be companies who sell pumps to do this job. Any ideas apprieciated. Steve
