  Just done a leak off test and injector no 2 is showing more than the other 3 injectors Would that cause this  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKOvUaPIKHM I'd be interested to hear anyones views The smoke smeels like unburnt fuel    Thanks

  I need 4 new tyres for my Sorento. I drive on gravel tracks and main roads - occasionally motorways. I am willing to pay for quality tyres with good grip in the wet, quiet running and reasonable fuel economy. Falcons have been suggested. What would your reccommendation be please?

  If any of us needed to get a car now it would be a difficult task I guess. Can't get out more than once a day and have to keep local....would be a nightmare if someone stole your pride and joy now. Except for the very odd shopping trip ours stay on the drive, never used so little fuel.

  Thought provoking letter in the Daily Mail.  What happens if you are stuck in a blizzard for hours in your limited range EV. Presumably you will very quickly run out of battery for drive and heat.  At least with conventional fuel that would not be the case unless you were stupid

• KIA Sorento 2012 - 'Check Water Separator' 6 Jan 2018 (Forum)
  The warning light 'Check water separator' is flickering, presumingly indicating water in fuel filter. Not really a DIY job for me, the car is booked for dealer service in early April, should I wait for then or act now. Presume it could also be a sensor fault. Thanks for any input

  Fitted new maf sensor after loss of power but now getting smoke from engine when I set off. Van goes like a rocket and fuel consumption is best its ever been. It ran clean as a whistle befor the sensor died Regards geoff

  Can I today, call into a filling station and fill my steel nato 20ltr steel jerry can/cans. Then carry in my car to the marina for my boat outboard engine. Asking as the marina price for fuel is now so stupid compared to supermarkets. thanks

  Engine malfunction light comes on occasionally.   Long journeys /short journeys Mechanic tested with computer.  Only problem showing (once) was 'empty of fuel' light,  Tank was 3/4 full. Mechanic seems at a loss as the fault is intermittant.

  i drove to the park today and the car was fine but when we got back in to drive home the instrumental panel wasn't working - so no movement on speedo, revs, fuel and temp gauges.  everything else was working - is this a fuse probem or sometheng else?  all help gratefully received!

  I have just put another engine in my 1.8 diesel partner van i can get fuel to the pump and blead it but know further, have tried with the ignition switched on, have also tried the old pump still the same. any ideas

  Fuel is at its highest ever price, huge amounts less are being sold so have any posters started cutting down on mileage? Many people have no choice but to grin and bear it if they use the car for work but trips to the offspring and days out are another matter. Salaries aren't going up much

  As above really. I realised my mistake quickly.  I BRIMMED it with normal diesel, then stuck some diesel additive that mentions lubricating fuel pumps on the bottle into the tank too. Reckon I got away with it? (Everything crossed)

  Anyone had what they might consider a slightly dodgy batch of Esso diesel recently? Filled up in Devon (almost empty tank) and fuel economy has dropped from 52mpg down to 39. Same journeys, same driving style, more or less the same conditions. {made non make/model specific}
