  • Zafira alarm problem 15 Jul 2006 (Forum)
is causing it or how to rectify it. I have had the battery tested and its fine, there is nothing loose in the car that could be triggering the sensors, so I am at a loss as to what to try next. If all else fails could I remove the fuse that relates to the alarm without it affecting anything else in the car

  • Keeping a camera in the car 7 Jun 2006 (Forum)
incorporate a camera of sorts, I vaguely remember reading that digital images have no legal standing because they are so readily manipulated. On top of this, phone batteries have an uncanny knack of being flat when you need them most! So should I just go to Superdrug and buy a disposable 35mm every few

  • Audi A4 Starting Problem 18 Mar 2006 (Forum)
valves to stick open slightly , hence the lack of compression. When the fault occurs, the only way to solve it is continued cranking until (after several flat batteries) the engine splutters into life. Apart from this sporadic problem the engine runs quietly and without problems. Please any ideas

I'm worried that the glow plugs need replaced and these cost c£45 each! My hope is that it's just the battery that needs renewed

of various warning bleeps. This is accompanied by a loud clicking noise which sounds like a combination of the ignition turning on and off and the gearbox isolation switch for the auto box. Initial thought were battery although this has charge and we have tried to jump start it but it behaves exactly
  • 00/01 Merc C320 total electrical failure 25 Jan 2006 (Forum)
"STOP!" caption in the instrument cluster. I would normally say "Earth" for something like this, but unless the instrument cluster has a backup battery, this appears unlikely to be the cause. Ideas? Nothing apparently relevant in the CBCB. As I say, the car's at a Merc dealer who couldn't fix

that twice before I try to start the car. Couple of people have said the Glow plugs might need changing. Could this be the case or could it be something else? (Battery seems good). If it is the glow plugs are they easy to change? (As easy as spark plugs)? If they are can someone point me in the right

Hello, The battery terminal clamp on my 1999 Micra was badly corroded, so I took it to the main dealer at deleted - DD , to replace the part. They said they could not replace the clamp on its own - they'd have to replace the whole unit (i.e. cables and everything etc), at a cost of £199

  • Bump Starting an Automatic? 25 Feb 2005 (Forum)
SWMBO has had to call out the breakdown services today. She left her lights on in her Honda CRV and flattened the battery. Stupidly it does not have a lights on warning buzzer. She was parked on a hill and _could_ have bump started it - but she did not know how, as she has not had an auto before
