Suggested poll topic 2 Jun 2005 (Forum)
How many of us listen to Johnny Walker on radio 2 on our drives home? I do, and particularly enjoy his "cruising" feature (3 great driving tracks chosen by a listener, and played after the 6 o' clock news.) I know JW reads HJ's column in the Telegraph. If we could come up with a backroom cruising -

Just managed to change the dashboard light bulbs in 15 minutes, thanks to a 2002 posting which I knew would come in handy one day. Current problem though is that the bulbs behind the climate control buttons need changing. Any tips on how to remove the climate panel/radio to get at the bulbs? I -
Boosting Long/Medium wave reception 18 Mar 2004 (Forum)
On a standard BMW radio the reception is generally fine, by which I mean I am mainly tuned to FM (when not playing CDs). However I also tune in to medium wave for sport and occasionally also to long wave, and would like to improve reception quality and number of listenable stations on these bands -
£1000 road tax for gas guzzlers!! 16 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Just heard a piece on the radio claiming that the powers that be are considering massive increases in RFL for 'gas guzzlers'. £1000 was mentioned as a figure but where this came from I don't know. Can't see the manufacturers being very pleased at the prospect or indeed the owners of cars whose -

current leak 8 Jul 2003 (Forum)
Does an 80 mA current drain sound a lot? This all goes through one fuse which powers the cigarette lighter, the clock, the interior light and the radio. I haven't traced the leak any further as it hasn't caused any problems yet. I've done the maths and with my battery the drain will drain -

Got yer ears on? good buddy. 23 Nov 2002 (Forum)
Long, long ago (1980), in a county far, far away (Lancs.), a young(ish) chap got his grubby mits on one of those pesky CB radio things and, after dark, became "TrashCan" or TC-214 on the side bands. Does anyone still have a "rig" in their motor? 27Mhz AM ruled, OK Ahhhhh, happy days.... John -
Keyless entry 28 Oct 2002 (Forum)
Having lost the remote for my Honda Civic and costing the thick end of £100 to replace, I have decided to replace it with a radio controlled device instead of the next to useless infra red system fitted as standard. Can anyone recommend a suitable keyless entry system, diy or technician fit -
RDS clocks (again) 3 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Sorry to bring this up again, but with the clocks going forward last weekend, I made an interesting discovery for anyone who uses the RDS time function in their car radios. Basically, wait for the BBC to send the right clock codes and you'll wait till hell freezes over. Tune to Classic FM -

Hello ! I have just bought a Nissan Almera, and want to change the rather poor Radio, however unlike other cars it seems to be built into the dashboard, ie, there is a flange on the dashboard which seems to make it impossible to remove the old unit. Does anyone out there know how to whip the old -

Ford Focus Zetec 2003 - Speedometer flickering 19 May 2016 (Forum)
I was wondering what might cause the speedometer needle to flicker. It is fine 99.9% of the time but, occasionally/randomly, it will flicker noticeably for a few seconds before settling back down. When it does occur, the radio has, on an odd occasion 'surged' too. (The battery was changed -
