  . This replacement is as much as the car is worth, however it is in otherwise good condition and I'm happy with it (though it is over 100k miles now).  My fear is having this replaced and the problem isn't fixed, and Honda then just want to replace some other component. What is the TCM anyway

  The driver's seat gradually lowers itself over time and requires occasional pumping up again. Honda advised the local garage to remove the lever for a period and to refit it and test the seat height. My did not need raising after the refit. There has been a Honda notification
