A big thirsty honey monster that I love to drive

I knew the V8 was being phased out in the UK from 2015. So I traded in my much loved 2007 Amazon in part exchange for a brand spanking new V8 in June 2015.
The V8 had a lot of equipment fitted as standard, cameras, air conditioned seats, cool box etc. The only option that I had to buy was a tow bar. I love driving this V8, it is great for towing. I regularly tow a 2.5 ton excavator which with the trailer adds up 3450kgs without any problems both on and off road.
Looks wise it is a bit old fashioned, but dependable. Just like my old Amazon but with better engine performance and extra 'boys toys' as standard. I used to drive Range Rovers, they had the looks but I found they were not reliable.Best described as deciduous (bits kept dropping off), thats why I changed to Toyota, first with the Amazon and now the V8.
On the road it is easy to drive, even with its large presence on the road, acceleration is good considering the weight of the vehicle. I think the only thing I hate is the fuel consumption at around 16mpg
