You either "get" Jimnys, or you don't

Mine is the van version, which you can still buy new. Few people use the back seats in the 4-seaters, so the only real disadvantage is higher VED. All but the shortest drivers will need to unbolt and remove the load cage and partition, but that takes 10 minutes and dealers will do it for you. Excellent town car due to its size, visibility and turning circle. Great looks and the ride is much better than the previous model. Happiest below 60mph and fuel consumption becomes tragic if you want to drive at 70 - it's a brick. Otherwise, fuel economy is surprisingly good at around 41mpg. Most owners seem to easily exceed the official figures. It is adequately quick for slip roads but you won't be overtaking much. The lane departure and collision warning systems are both hopeless and need to be turned off to avoid the car taking dangerous actions, but that's common to most new cars.
