Skoda Kodiaq (2024 on)

SE TDi 150 DSG SCR Auto Start/Stop 5dr
This Skoda Kodiak is one of the best cars I have owned.
In 2018, I bought a VW Touran, and loved its space and flexible seating. In 2021 I switched to a new Tiguan and was disappointed in the lack of space and in the overall ride and performance of the car.
I have in the last weeks taken delivery of a new Skoda Kodiak 2ltr Diesel and I am back in love with the VW group. The car feels altogether better put together, the ride is rattle free and comfortable over cobbled streets and potholes. The engine is very responsive but mostly a very quiet ride.
The comfort and roominess in this new model Kodiak is outstanding, and feels really solid, with a presence on the road which I felt the Tiguan lacked.
Rear passengers in this 5 seat model are treated to Business Class space and legroom, whilst the cavernous boots place is unlikely ever to struggle, even on road trip holidays.
Skoda have packed much more tech and safety features into this base model Kodiak than I had in the so called, up market,Tiguan, it is incomparable.
Yes, maybe still the honeymoon period, but overall I feel so much better about the Kodiak than I have for a new car in years, I just love getting behind the wheel.
I have been driving for almost 60 years both in the UK, Europe and Africa. Having owned and driven more cars than I care to think of, generally in high mileage roles, I believe I can get the feel of a car fairly quickly, and for me this new Kodiak hits the spot, with its long legged and relaxed performance.
