Saab 9-3 Sportwagon (2005 - 2011)

Turbo Edition 1.9 TiD 5dr
Every car I'll ever need in one package
I bought my Sportwagon because the kids no longer fitted in my coupe and we were going on holiday, two weeks driving to the South of France. My intention was to do the trip and sell it on, but that was five and a half years ago.
The car has done 190k miles, has zero rust, unmarked black leather interior (no wear anywhere) bright laser red paint that is shiny and un-faded, carbon grey alloys and very comprehensive history.
When I got her the alloys were chipped and scuffed, the eternal plastics were peeling and nasty and the DMF was making some iffy noises. But it was cheap.
I've now painted the plastics in Alfa Nero (I have a Giulietta as well), replaced the DMF and clutch, cleaned the EGR, upgraded the air intake hoses, swirl flap bar and some of the vacuum piping. I also fitted new springs, bushes, droplinks, discs, pads, hoses, calipers and wheel bearings based on the age of the car.
I get 50 mpg on average (little motorway work) and the car carries a ton of sailing kit easily. Totally recommend BUT be aware, if you cannot wield a spanner yourself she may cost you a penny or two! Mine is now driving like a new car, handles, stops and accelerates really, really well and is so comfy. It will take something catastrophic to part me from this one - drives better than my TVR (though not quite as well as my Alfa).
