Peugeot 407 Coupe (2006 - 2011)
407 GT Coupe
Superb vehicle , I would have bought another had they still been made
I bought this car with just under 10 K on the clock and just over 12 months old when I bought it , it was a real steal at just under £10k , I bought it for regular runs from the midlands to my other home in south west France , it was a case of putting it in drive and sitting back for the next 550 miles , it has never let me down and I thought the economy was reasonable as I was at motorway speeds most of the way and a tad more on occasions .
The only downside was the tyre wear and at around £250 a pop these were replaced nearly every 12 months , I had a couple of minor electrical problems , boot lock wire sheared , and one reversing light to replace plus the windscreen washers failed , new ends were fitted , these three jobs were fixed by a Peugeot dealer for £i50 , I sold it at 57000 miles on the clock as I was concerned regarding future reliability problems , had I not had the distances to cover on my way to France I would have kept it .
When clean and polished it was a real head turner as so few of them were made , I have kept my faith in Peugeots as I am now on my 5th with my current vehicle being a 3008 but its no where near as comfortable and I regret selling it as they are worth next to nothing when trying to sell it , and I can honestly say after nearly 50 years of motoring both in the UK and mostly overseas I have had many cars both private and company vehicles the 407 GT is one of the best I have ever owned .
