Peugeot 3008 (2009 - 2017)
Sport 1.6 VTi 5dr Hatchback
Great family car.
A good alternative to Nissan Qashqui's and the like. Is the 3008 a SUV or a MPV? It's probably a bit of both, and that suits me perfectly. Great cabin - well styled (think Audi) and lots of passenger space front and rear (flat floor is great for kids). Lots of glass area too, which is a plus point. Big split-level boot and a space-saver spare wheel!
Plenty of toys on the 2012 Sport model: auto lights/wipers, cruise/limiter, Bluetooth/usb, 1-touch windows all round.
Urban mpg is approx. 30, which was expected. Extra-urban mpg seems too good to be true at times. I've seen nearly 50mpg average on a motorway run. 500 miles on one tank - who needs a diesel? It has had a drive-shaft seal and waterpump replaced under warranty without quibble.
I am just pricing up 4 new tyres for it which seem to range from £50 for budgets up to £100+ for premium makes.
I am looking forward to many more years with it.
