Small, stylish, slow, generally good but clutch arm snapped, Peugeot won't even answer my letter

Overall I like the car. Mine is black and very stylish. I love the way the back doors are hidden. People think its a 3 door but its a 5 in a very small body. I have had it 5 years now. My only complaint is that 5 months ago my wife put her big plates of meat on the clutch pedal and it went bang. What we thought was just the cable turned out to be the clutch arm. It was a thin piece of metal that connects inside the gear bos and so the whole clutch had to be replaced. It all cost £550 and that was at a local garage not main dealer's stupid prices. But the parts cost a fortune. The new arm was much thicker so Peugeot obviously realised something was wrong with the original part. I thought when I wrote and sent all the invoices they might meet me half way or something but my letter was not even acknowledged. Wrote back 2 months later and I got some sort of reply. They said that a Peugeot representative would be contacting me shortly. 3 months later and I am still waiting for that contact.
