GLE250d 2.1 AMG Line Auto 4MATIC 5dr SUV

Very bad Crabbing issue.

The car has had a crabbing issue for over 12 months. Like many others, Mercedes have done everything they can to avoid dealing with the problem. From telling me its a feature in cold weather to advisng that the 4MATIC system is too clever for its own good. A few months ago, the crabbing was so bad that is turned off the self park mid way through as the sensors got confused with the massive jolt experienced. Since then my wife will no longer drive the vehicle as she feels its unsafe.

I feel disappointed as I had a lot more faith that Mercedes would not release a car with such a big flaw, let alone not admit to the problem when there is a growing number of people reporting the issue.

The GLC had a similar issue and after a year Mercedes finally admitted there was a problem and started to address it. I just hope this is the case with the GLE or it will be the last Mercedes 4matic I purchase.
