Overall reliability

Great load carrier for local use.

We bought a Jazz as a second car due to having recently got a large Labrador and the Mini Cooper could not cope with dog and suitcases.
The room inside and versatility of the magic seats is remarkable however the seating position for the driver is very high even with the seat in the lowest position. With hands at 10 to 2 pm steering wheel your hands cover both rev counter and fuel gauge in addition, you have to set the steering wheel height too high potherwise the rim covers your view of the speedometer. In addition the high position brake light in rear window blocks rearward vision which means I have to duck down to see in rear view mirror. The seat lacks lower back support especially on long journeys. Note. I have none of these seating issues with a 59 plate Mini Cooper.
The car seems better suited to local use as I found on longer journeys, especially motorways that the car tends to wander and requires constant correction to the steering.
The 1.2 engine is fine for local use however it struggles keeping up with some motorway traffic especially when hills are involved.
Some of the finish could be better such as welding on door window frames and the use of hard plastic on dash however our car is a base model and this May not apply to more expensive versions.
Overall a great load carrier, very dependable but I prefer to drive my Mini Cooper for everyday use.
Updated. Mileage now at 12k and fuel consumption has improved slightly however the performance has not and good forward planning is required if attempting to overtake.
The road fund category is also high for performance. A great car for space and local running.
Update.Battery completely failed at five years and had to be towed into garage and rear brake discs and pads replaced at 21k.
