Honda CR-V (2002 - 2006)
HONDA CR-V 2.0 I-VTEC EXECUTIVE.
The perfect car for me
I bought my CRV with about 30k on the clock and have now done nearly 115k and it's still looking great and running perfectly well. The only problems I've had are a slightly dodgy Sat Nav screen which sometimes takes a while to come and a clutch pedal that squeaks now and then. It has been dealer serviced at August Motors in Salisbury who have been very good and not as expensive as you might think. It drives like a car, has a raised driving position that I like and is returning mpg in the 30s. My CRV is a black executive model which looks pretty good with a few extras and leather seats etc and I am very pleased that I held out for the top of the range. The rear door allows great access to the back and with the seats down the space is huge - this has been incredibly helpful on many occasions. The front wheel drive is no problem and is perfectly good for towing a caravan (great torque) plus the 4 wheel drive kicks in if the front wheels begin to spin which is helpful on slippery surfaces or snow. my only complaint is that there seems to be a bit of leap from 1st to 2nd gear but is generally no problem at all. Overall, it's one of the best cars I've had and don't really want to let it go even though it's now quite high mileage.
