Love it!

This is my fifth sports convertible in about 15 years and my second Z4. It's not particularly practical (we have a family car anyway) but it does have a good size luggage area which will easily take two small cases, even with the roof down, making possible 'sunny' weekends away (not possible with the MR2 which had no boot at all). Anyway, practicality doesn't come into it when you fancy a car like this; the heart rules the head. I am old enough to know better but I love open top driving the year round. (Posing? Never!) I was lucky enough to pick up a high spec second hand version (at a price) and I love it. It has a Star Trek style on-board computer, sat nav, leather, heated seats etc etc. Hours of fun. I was toying with the idea of buying a Mercedes SLK but felt, at 1.8L, it might be a bit underpowered. Right or wrong on that score I'm glad I went for the BMW. It looks great, drives well and provides that elusive 'good to be here' feeling when you're behind the wheel. Just one problem since I bought the car – the switch for the folding roof needed to be replaced. All sorted without fuss at a dealership under the warranty. Go on...get one. You know you want to!
