A really competent all round car which is hard to fault

Since collecting the car on Thursday 9th January from a most professional and helpful garage Dick Lovett in Swindon I have put 3800 miles on the car! Journeys have so far consisted of 2 trips to Scotland and recently a 1800 mile trip to Poland!
This is a most well designed and built car which eats motorway miles and is comfortable and relaxing to drive - the sat nav and sound system are excellent and the Idrive is intuitive - it is on long journeys that this car's attributes shine! In Germany a comfortable cruising speed in a long legged 8th gear is between 120 and 130 mph on the autobahn with fuel consumption averaging 31 mpg - I reached 155 mph several times and the engine is always smooth and unstressed and the car totally composed at this speed! BMW have clearly spent a great deal of time refining and honing this car and it shows.
