Overall reliability

Great driving experience, range good, mixed dealer and paintwork warranty experience spoiling the experience.

Overall very happy with the driving experience and comfort. Range is good and more than adequate for medium distance journeys (up to 200 miles). The Audi charging service has worked well and my confidence in finding a charger has grown. The Audi SatNav is good at identifying Audi linked chargers along a route so journey planning is easy.

Insurance is moderately high, but not too bad through Saga.

In-car cable storage is not sufficient, with only a small area under the boot so the yellow charging cable sits in the boot or rear passenger well most of the time.

I am disappointed at the overall feel of quality compared with previously owned BMW and Mercedes vehicles. Body panels, especially the bonnet seem very flimsy.

My experience with a paint problem and associated warranty claim has been VERY disappointing.

When washing the car 9 months after purchase, I noticed discoloured areas on the bonnet (like undercoat showing through) and a strange area ‘wrinkled’ in appearance.

I took the car to the dealer for investigation, they checked the paint thickness and their measurements showed a lot of variability with areas with paint thickness as low as 78 microns. Initially they told me it would be a warranty claim and would contact Audi to get authorisation for the work. After a very long delay in hearing back and poor dealer feedback after multiple calls I resorted to getting Audi UK involved. The dealer then informed me they were getting an independent 3rd party inspection and have now denied the warranty repair claiming ‘environmental and insect factors!’ I was not given sight of the report. This stance is despite me paying for GardX paintwork protection applied at the dealer! Still an ongoing situation with minimal meaningful Audi UK engagement so far. Not a great dealer or Audi experience on this issue to date.
