Has 240PS 3.5 litre V6 from 350Z and X-Tronic 6-speed CVT combined with X-Trail's well-proven electronic four-wheel-drive system. This includes a centre diff lock plus Nissan's ESP+ system for added traction. Standard 'extras' include huge lockable centre cubby, 'floating' console, standard Birdview DVD Satnav, 18" wheels, rear parking cameras, privacy glass, Bose 7 speaker audio system, remote flip-down rear seats, leather and instrument binnacle that moves up and down with the wheel. First seen in UK at May 2004 Birmingham Motor Show.

July 2006

Turbocharged Murano GT-C shown at July 2006 London Motor Show. Had 340PS at 6000rpm, and 265lb ft of torque at a low 3600rpm – enough to rocket the 1,885kg Murano GT-C to 60mph in an estimated 7.0seconds and on to a top speed of 140mph.

What to watch out for
