2025 BYD Atto 2 styling, interior and technology
At the front, the new BYD Atto 2 has a clean appearance with a rugged SUV-style bumper and headlights featuring LED running lights that feed into a central chrome styling strip.
At the side, the new BYD Atto 2 has chunky wheelarches and pronounced lower body side trim. The front and rear wheelarches have clean contours, and flush-fit doorhandles enhance the clean appearance.
The clean look continues at the rear. It has a stylish full-width LED light bar with rear lights forming a ‘Chinese knot’ that signify "endless good luck". There’s a wind-cheating roof spoiler too.
The new BYD Atto 2 has simple lettering on the fuss-free tailgate. The company has ditched the ‘Build Your Dreams’ slogan seen on the first Atto 3 and Dolphin models.

The new BYD Atto 2 has a long 2620mm wheelbase which the firm says delivers short front and rear overhangs to enhance its SUV image.
It will come in Climbing Grey paint as standard. Hiking Green, Skiing White and Cosmos Black are the three cost-option colours.
Inside, the new BYD Atto 2 features a rotating central infotainment screen. It whirrs from portrait to landscape at the touch of a button. There is also an electronic driver display.

Another sparkling touch is the new BYD Atto 2’s cut-diamond-look drive selector. There are hard keys around it for functions including the windscreen demister, volume mode and driving mode selector. Other functionality is accessed via the touchscreen.
It has a 400-litre boot, which the firm points out is larger than family hatch models such as the Volkswagen Golf. It expands to 1340 litres with the rear seats lowered.
The dedicated electric car platform also means the new BYD Atto 2 has a completely flat floor.

Later, the new BYD Atto 2 will be offered with a larger battery that is expected to deliver a range of around 250 miles.
For the first time in a small SUV, the new BYD Atto 2 has ‘cell-to-body’ construction. This integrates the battery into the chassis – the top cover of the battery pack serves as the floor for the interior.
This technique is unique to BYD and ensure the new BYD Atto 2 is better packaged and has a more rigid body than other EVs.
The new BYD Atto 2 batteries are a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) design. This is more durable and more resistant to extreme temperatures.
