Infiniti targets business drivers with Q50 ‘Executive’

Published 22 October 2013

Infiniti has confirmed that it will tailor its Q50 for company car drivers with the launch of the Executive edition. Specifically created for business users, the Executive gets a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and two trim levels - Executive and Premium Executive – with the later featuring satellite navigation, heated leather seats and keyless entry as standard. Deliveries start in November and prices start at £29,870.

Available with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission, the Q50 Executive has a contract hire leasing rate of £299.99 plus VAT per month (3+35 rentals, non-maintenance, 10,000 miles a year). The top of the range Premium Executive costs £33,470 or with a contract hire of £336.99 per month.

Manual versions return a claimed average of 64.2mpg and 114g/km of CO2, which equates to BIK rate of £83 a month for a 20 per cent tax payer, while those in the 40 per cent bracket pay £166 a month. The automatic transmission pushes CO2 up to 124g/km, which raises the comparable BIK rate to £98 and £196 respectively.

The Mercedes-Benz sourced diesel engine offers impressive performance figures, with 170PS and 400Nm of torque, which will propel the Q50 from 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds.

The order books for the Q50 Executive are now open and desliveraries will start mid-November.
