Best Volkswagen Finance Deals

On the hunt for a new Volkswagen? Looking to buy using finance? You've come to the right place for the best PCP offers on a new VW

Volkswagen is the most popular car manufacturer in the UK, outselling even the likes of Ford. It has a huge range of cars and plenty of finance deals and offers as a result.

Right now, some of VW’s biggest selling cars have just been renewed, which can be good news if you’re on the hunt for a deal. For example, the all-new third generation Volkswagen Tiguan has just gone on sale. That means potential for good introductory deals to encourage existing owners to take a spin on the VW configurator and fire up a representative example.

Likewise, if you’re not bothered about following the SUV trend, the all-new Volkswagen Passat has just arrived. Thanks to the appetite for SUVs, the estate-only Passat will remain a niche choice, albeit one that we're glad still exists. As a result, it's also likely to attract incentives to encourage you to turn your head away from a Tiguan or Tayron.

The Volkswagen Golf has also been treated to a mid-life freshen up, too, so deals are out there. And if you’re looking to go electric, the VW ID.3 should be on your radar thanks to a recent facelift, plus the new VW ID.7, available as saloon and an estate, are well worth a look, especially with 0% APR and solid deposit contributions in the offing.

Does VW do leasing?

If you're not interested in the option to own the car after your deal term finishes, leasing directly from Volkswagen is very straightforward. PCH agreements are arranged with VW Financial Services, and the VW models currently available for lease are available to browse on the VWFS Drive website.

Arranging a finance deal is as simple as finding a VW model that suits you, get a quote, set up your finance agreement and then your chose new VW will be delivered to your nearest VW dealership. All the cars VW offers for lease are already built and in stock, which means delivery can take place quickly and conveniently.

What is the month to finance a car?

A company with such a broad range as Volkswagen has deals available all the time, depending on the age of the models it is selling - there's always a model about to be replaced or facelifted with such a broad range of cars on offer, from Polo to Passat, T-Cross to Touareg and so on. There's also often good promotions to consider on the firm's ID range of electric cars, as buyers are encouraged to switch to EVs.

There are still some times of the year we'd recommend considering if you're trying to save the most cash and time is on your side. We’d say that the end of every month is worth an ask, as sales targets need to be hit in order for salespeople to pick up their bonuses.

It's also worth checking out deals at times like the christmas holidays, as it’s quiet in dealerships and people are spending on gifts, and Black Friday and Cyber Monday, too. March and September tend to be less good for deals as this is when new registrations come in, and that’s when more new cars are sold.

What’s a 3+35 lease deal?

If you're looking to lease your car rather than opt for a PCP, you might see 3+35 or similar cropping up in your research. This is a shorthand way of expressing the terms of a lease deal, and while increasingly uncommon, you might see a lease expressed in this way. In the '3+35' example above, the 3 at the start refers to the cost of your initial payment, paid at the start of your lease, expressed as the number of monthly payments this represents.

For example if the car you’re interested in is advertised as available to lease at £399 per month, your initial payment would be 3 x £399 (£1197).

The 35 is the number of monthly payments you then need to make, so in this example case you'd be paying a further 35 x £399.

Lease deals are occasionally expressed with or without VAT, as they’re popular with business users, too. If you're looking for personal deals and you see VAT not included, there's generally settings on the websites of popular leasing companies that let you filter by personal leasing deals only.

Why are cars so expensive?

Thanks to the semiconductor shortage, war in Ukraine and the pandemic, supply of new cars has been reduced from normal levels, and getting back to pre-2019 stock volumes has proven a tricky task. What's more, during this time, many carmakers took the opportunity to streamline their ranges, as each model variant now has to be tested for emissions, so generally offering fewer models with higher specification, but at higher prices. Demand for new cars post-pandemic is high, and this has helped to reinforce higher prices.

As the price of new cars sets their finance cost, the prices of PCP agreements have gone up too. The price of a car PCP is, for the most part, calculated by you effectively covering the car’s depreciation over the duration of the deal.
