Ford continues to be one of the most popular brands with UK car buyers. And a big part of the appeal is competitive deals on cars like the Ford Puma, one of the UK’s best-selling cars.
Ford is moving away from hatchbacks like the Ford Fiesta and switching emphasis to its SUVs and range of electric cars like the Ford Mustang Mach-e, Ford Explorer and Ford Capri. That means dealers will be keen to shift Ford Focus models that represent the Ford of old.
Now that these cars are out of production, you can’t specify a car, however deals on cars bought from stock are possible. These are also already on their way to dealerships, meaning you’ll be behind the wheel as quickly as possible. Just make sure you don’t miss out, because once the old models are gone, they’re gone.
As for the new electric models, Ford is also in the business of incentivising the switch, with plenty of 0% APR deals and cheap service plans on offer.
However, it’s worth watching the deposit amounts on these deals, as they tend to be considerable. Electric cars cost significantly more than their petrol and diesel counterparts, for now at least, so deposits are inflated in order to deliver a more palatable headline monthly payment figure.
Best Ford PCP Offers
For finance buyers taking up an offer through a Ford dealer, you’ll be signing a contract with Ford Credit. Ford Credit calls its PCP product Ford Options while Ford Personal Contract Hire is for leasing.
Ford also offers Ford Options Cashplan. This works like a PCP, but you pay a significant portion of the cost of the car upfront, then have the option of paying the remainder at the end of the deal but don’t pay monthly amounts in between. Ford Aquire allows you buy the car with a deposit and monthly payments. All of these options involve a credit check.

Does Ford have 0% APR?
Not all carmakers offer 0% APR finance, but Ford is one of them. However, it's not generally offered on all models.
Right now, if you're looking for a 0% APR deal, your best bet is to consider one of Ford's electric models. The new Ford Puma Gen-E, Ford Explorer and Ford Capri are all available with 0% APR across the range, with monthly prices starting at affordable amounts, too.
Some Ford Focus and Ford Mach-E models, plus versions of the Ford Kuga can be had with 0% APR, too.
What month are the best PCP deals?
The end of each month is worth an ask, as dealerships often have incentives for their salespeople to meet their targets. We’d avoid the start of March and September, when new registrations come in, as that’s when more new cars are sold, so there are fewer incentives around. However, it is worth bearing in mind the end of each quarter, so the end of March, June, September and December, as this is when carmakers refresh their deals and promotions.
Just as with other consumer goods, it’s also worth looking for new car deals around the Christmas holidays, as it’s quiet in dealerships and people are spending on gifts. Keep an eye on Black Friday and Cyber Monday too, as this is becoming more popular for carmakers, especially given the tech in an EV.
What is Ford Lease?
Ford Lease is shorthand for Ford Personal Contract Hire, which is Ford’s in-house leasing product. You choose a new Ford, then the dealer calculates the initial payment and the monthly fees based on the cost of the car and the length you want to lease it for - from 24 to 48 months.
At the end of the lease, you just hand the car back. Car tax is included, but maintenance costs extra and can be added for an additional monthly fee. Insurance is up to the driver, too.
