Renault megane 2004 - losing power when driving at low revs - lander89
The car has been running fine for ages but all of a sudden it has lost all power up to about 3thousand revs and struggles to make it up hills, the car is also rocking when it is ticking over. An orange light has come on which I think is the engine light but can't make out the symbol. Is there any advice what cold cause this before I book it into a garage want to have an idea what to ask for so I'm not taken for a ride.

For what ever reason the car is going into limp home mode,you do not say whether it is a petrol or diesel.EGR valves are a constant headache on diesels especially the 1.9 but could be umpteen different reasons as to your problem.

Very likely to be a coil/s problem.The most common problems on these.hth
