Mazda 3 - DPF Issues 2.2 Diesel 185 - Mazda3Man

Interested in buying one of these probably 2010/2011. I am aware of past problems with the old 2.0 unit, and wondered if anyone has had any bad experiences with the new system?

How often do they regenerate? I've heard every 200 miles which seems really excessive.

Any guidance much appreciated.
