Hi.

I was driving my car home lastnight when sitting at some traffic lights the car started running erratic.

The rev counter was going up to 2000 revs then dropping down to 1000, then dropped right under till it nearly stopped.!

This happened all the way home , had a look but couldn't see anything visible i.e throttle cable sticking.

This problem was still happening this morning. Any help would be appreciated.

Check for vacuum leaks at any rubber hose you can find, with the engine running spray carb cleaner, brake cleaner or similar at everything...if the revs rise you have a leak.

Pay attention to the hoses under the intake manifold, my mums Puma started doing something similar and it was just a rubber coupling had popped off under there.
