Volkswagen polo 1.4 s - Polo Electrics - standby
Hi I'm looking at buying a Volkswagen polo 1.4 s 52 plate with 54000 miles on the clock for around £2700. I have a couple of questions one my father heard a slight knocking in the engine, any ideas and when we looked at the service history there were two bills of electric work from a local garage one for about £730.00 including a new dash board a total of over £1000.00 in the last 18 months. I need advise, is this something I should stay well clear of ? I'm concerned that an electrical problem will never really go away.

Its miles to expensive and the noise your father can hear is probably the timing chain, I would walk away and buy a good Kia or Hyundai.

Buy a toyota yaris, the polo is far too expensive and not as good a car.
