Peugeot 206 petrol 1.1 - ECU - jach1074

If peugeot 206 (1.1 petrol Xreg) ecu is dissconected for cleanig connections would it need any remapping when replaced ?.

I would be very cautious about cleaning the connections on these.The pins are very thin and fragile.It is very easy to put the pins out of alignment,so that when the connector blocks are refitted the pins get bent and damaged.hth

Thanks for the replies,

I get an intermitent miss fire (usually in 2nd gear) and as the car is kept outdoors in all our weathers and is also in very little use (900 miles last year) i was going to clean all electric renew plugs and coil to see if this would help.

It was suggested to me that it may be the ECU as i have recently removed the battery for charging and the faults happened since it was re connected.
