tdi 1.9 - VW Golf dpf problems - HEYHO SAID JOEY

I have been told that to replace the faulty dpf unit on my golf will cost me 1500 for the part. This seems high to me, but i have no way of checking it. Does anyone have any advice?

very informative material was found here on a fix i believe it can also be used on Peugeot ford etc etc with some variations to parameters but basically the same procedure.

get your dpf removed mate replacing it wont solve the problem

i had it done on my car and had it programmed after andnow i have no more dpf problems. the main dealers will tell you to replace it only for it toblock again.
