A bit of advice please.

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion 1.6 TD which needs new tyres. I like the car but find the ride to be rough. I am considering upping the spec a little bit by fitting 195/65/15 tyres instead of the 60% profiles currently in use.

I believe this will result in a slight increase in rolling radius - less than 3% - and will not adversly affect the speedo reading currently close to 10% optimistic. However, I do believe it would give my old bones a bit of relief. Adjusting tyre pressures does not help. I do not think performance or fuel consumption - which is great - would be significantly affected either. And clearances seem to be very generous as well.

My insurance company does not seem to be concerned.

Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome.
