Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 2002 - No radio signal from audio - willow

Hi. Any ideas why I should suddenly lose radio reception on my original Sony CD6000. All I seem to get is fuzz. I don't know if the loss of signal has anything to do with recent work carried out to replace an off side suspension mount. Trouble is, I only noticed the problem yesterday and the work was done last month (don't listen to the radio much you see) so can't really complain.

Sounds as though you have lost your aerial connection, does the lead run anywhere near where the work was done?

Nothing to do with the top mount problem.The aerial lead runs up the windscreen pillar to the roof antenna.You will need to pull out the radio to check the connection .If it is ok,then plug in a known good aerial to see if it the radio or antenna circuit at fault.hth

Thanks guys. I have removed the unit and all connections appear secure. Have not tried another aerial though. Do aerials breakdown then?
