Volkswagen Golf 1.4 S 2006 - Exhaust Gas Warning Lamp & EPC warning lights - sialkoti

Hi,

I am just new to driving world.

I purchased VW Golf 1.4 S 2006 model.

I observed when I switched on the engine, it shows Exhaust Gas Warning Lamp & EPC warning lights. However, when I start engine they both just disappear.

I have no idea if this is an issue or just normal lights.

Any suggestion will really help.

This car was MOT last week and was serviced 3 months ago.

Thanks

If they disappear when you start the engine, then it isn't a problem.

Yes they disappear when I start the engine.

Just for peace of mind, if I take to VW dealer to have a look, will they charge for full service?

You can go to a dealer and they won;t charge you for asking the question: you'll get the same answer as Mike has given. The lights come on when you turn on the ignition so that you know they're working.

Have you tried reading the owners handbook under "dashboard warning lights".?
