My daughter's mini (56 reg) was supplied with run flat tyres. They were replaced about 2 years ago.
I recently found one of the tyres to be loosing pressure, so she took the car to a tyre fitting company for investigation. They said that two of the tyres had worn treads (including the one loosing air) and should be be replaced. She was advised to have all four tyres changed. But because of the high price of run flats the fitter replaced them ordinary tyres, saying that it was quite legal.
However, I am concerned that that if my daughter's car has a puncture she could be stranded (there is no spare wheel supplied). She is a member of the AA, but would they tow her car to a garage to have the tyre repaired?
Thanks
