SEAT Leon 1.4Tsi - Noisy engine on start up. - Heavy Lift

Hello could someone advise I have a 2008 SEAT Leon 1.4Tsi and it has started making a "Ticking" sound when you start it up it clears after a few seconds and appears to be getting worse and then dissapears.Phoned SEAT and they say no recalls or advice!! phoned local dealer Havent come across this problem!.

Has just been serviced and has FSH had noise before service but definetly noisier but seems to run ok.

If it has hydraulic tappets it sounds as though one or more are slow coming up to pressure, if it goes off and doesn't reccur I wouldn't worry about it. This can happen after an oil change and may well go away.

H thanks for the reply and advice and seems to be getting worse,dealer thinks it may be the timing chain adjuster just a guess at the moment.

He could well be right, I am not familier with your engine, just stating what I have personally experienced with other cars.
