Hello

In the last few months I have been having problems the first time I start my Peoguet, in any weather conditions. The car starts but as soon as I try and drive off the first time there is little or no power and I either have to over rev or let the car stall, start again and then it is generally fine. Does anyone know what would be causing this?

I have recently had to have a new alternator and battery (these went separately to the above problem) but this issue was present before and after these were changed. I have also been told that I will need a new clutch soon so the biting point of the car at present is high, would that cause the above problem?

I don't want to spend a fortune on the car getting a new clutch when there is another issue with the car, re the above issue, hence the query.

Anyway help would be gratefully received. For your information the mileage is coming up to 42,500 in case this makes a difference.
