Toyota yaris GLS - speedo erratic -Yaris 2002 with ABS - jake328

Hi,

I have a 2002 Yaris and the speedo has started to play up,going from the proper speed reading to zero for a few miles then giving a varied readout.The ABS light goes out when starting the engine and the car runs ok apart from the speedo problem.

Any ideas on where to look for the problem please?

I either a speedo or sensor problem. Consider that the car is 10 years old and you should axpect such issues even on a Toyota.
