Ford 6006E - No Power - RobinM

I recently purchased a Ford 6006E CD Auto-Changer. It had a number of faults (jammed changing mechanism / locked code entry etc.) which I managed to fix. To test it I linked it up to the car, turned it on and everything worked fine.

After this I spent 5 mins puting all the housing and screws back on only to find that when I fitted it a second time to the car, it would not turn on! I disconected the power and reconected... I even disconected the battery, but it still will not come on. There are wee green lights that come on next to where you put in the CDs, so I know it is getting power. I have seen a number of folk in this same predicament, but nobody has managed to provide a solution... anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Check you have not grounded one of the casing screws against a pcb. Remove the casing to your last known position it powered up then work slowly from there forwards.

I can't remember if the case has an insulating paper at the pcb side.
