Nissan Note - Spark Plugs - stepled1

i was just wondering if it is difficult to change the spark plugs on a Nissan Note, i have a 1.4 Acenta 2009 model.

You can see how to do this on a You Tube video.

Unfortunately the instructions on Youtube are for the 1.6 not the 1.4, it has adifferent layout.

Fortunately this means changing the sparkplugs isn't as involved with the 1.4.

There is no seperate engine cover but this is an integrated intake filter and throttle valve assembly housing.
Just remove all 8-9 screws that hold this to the valve cover and some other items that are attached to this housing which are pretty much selfexplaining.

Getting the air intake housing off requires some force since the connection to the intake manifold is made by four tubes which are tightly sealed with rubber grommets.

After making sure you have all the bolts removed gently pry the intake filter housing upwards without using screw drivers etc if you want to reuse the old gasket and grommets !

The whole assembly consists of a base unit and the housing for the throttle valve which are sealed by one gasket.
If done with care this gasket can be reused or you should order a new one beforehand.
Same holds true for the 4 intake manifold gaskets/grommets.

Next the sparkplug ignition coils are easily removed and the sparkplugs can be accessed in the normal way to change them.
