SEAT ALTEA - SEAT Altea S TDi - Glenn 42

Hi my family are considering buying a SEAT Altea S TDi on motability. I owned a SEAT Ibiza SDi ten years ago which was very economical and mechanically solid, but the build quality was poor. I gather the quality on newer SEATs is a lot better and are the cars still mechanically good. Also the dealership is family run and has a good reputation, which is swaying it for the family.

I think your last sentence is important. SEATs are the same mechanically as VW, Audi and Skoda, so no worries on that score: you don't see many Alteas about as most people wanting a cheaper VW will go for an Octavia, which you can also consider.

Skoda dealers are also mostly family-run, but if your SEAT dealer is local and you like the Altea, go for it. The XL version is probably worth the extra.
